Jumla and Rara lie in remote Karnali region, about 375 Kilometers north-west of Kathmandu. The region is made-up of long ridges covered with temperate forests and alpine pastures enclosing high valleys. Summer season is ideal for trekking. Winters are cold but autumn season trekking is rewarded with profusion of alpine flowers. This 14 days trek will takes you to the area were there is less crowded with trekkers owing to its remoteness. The added cost of transport and other expenses is made up by the solitude and magnificence of highland scenery.
The town of Jumla can be reached by a twin otter flight via Nepalgunj or direct from Kathmandu. This flight provide a wide panorama of western Nepal landscape.
