The trek to Ghorepani Poon hill is one of the most popular trekking routes of the Annapurna region. It is relatively easy and the breathtaking mountain scenery coupled with beautiful ethnic villages justifies the popularity of Ghorepani trekking.
As you trek through Ghorepani; you are continuously rewarded with magnificent views of the sun-kissed mountains, pristine forests, diverse flora and fauna. Ghorepani Poon hill trek is an extremely popular short trek to the Annapurnas, as it is less strenuous and involves no high climbing. There is absolutely no risk of altitude sickness!
The trek offers the spectacular mountain scenery along with hospitable villages inhabited by Gurungs and Magars, dense rhododendron forests all set below Annapurnas with the picturesque peak of Machapuchhare dominating the skyline.
However the main highlight of this trek is to make a climb on Poon hill. When the sun rises, it touches the snow-capped summits such as Dhaulagiri, Annapurna, Nilgiri along with series of other amazingly beautiful peaks.
Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu airport and transfer to hotel evening welcome dinner in tipycal nepali restaurant. Hotel.
Day 02: Kathmandu tour and preparation for the trek . Hotel
Day 03: Kathmndu to Pokhara (860m) by tourist bus/Flight overnight at hotel
Day 04: Drive to Nayapool and commence trek to Tikhedhunga (1540m)
Day 05: Trek to Ghorepani (2835m) and Excursion to PoonHill (3190m)
Day 06: Sunrise hike to Poon Hill and trek to Tadapani (2600m)
Day 07: Trek to Tolkha via Ghandruk village(1800m)
Day 08: Trek to Phedi (1130m) and drive back to Pokhara . Hotel
Day 09: Drive back to Kathmandu . Hotel.
Day 10: Transfer to onward destination
